Objectives of the game Joy and learn 🎲

During several years Ruben, the creator of ChemiProject, was thinking to make a game about organic chemistry. There were several reasons, the most important was related to scientific communication. Despite the great discoveries that he did, their family could not understand his research making difficult a good communication of his Principal passion. He though that there is a huge problem that society is not aware about the new discoveries and it is getting worse when the progress force to study science day by day. But it could be no a problem by the employing the correct educational strategy. For example, there is bigger areas that are constantly changing and the people now perfectly, as example , sports. Mostly of the people does not make science or sports, but they like sports and does not care about science.... What does have sports that science does not have? Sports are competitive, you select a team and you hope that it win, it is funny. We should make something similar is science. Somehow science should be funny. However, born ChemiProject, a educational game!

Yes, all these factors served as inspiration for the development of our chemical game. But the catalyst was thanks to Enabling Excellence. A group of researchers from different countries, Greece, Spain, France and England in which Ruben is / was involved. Researchers leaders proposed a project something peculiar 'Grand Challenge'. Students should carry out an activity outside their professional comfort, up to them. Each student spent several months thinking about a project, but Rubén only employs a few seconds to launch his creativity. He knew what he wanted to do! A science project, which will show the basics of organic chemistry in a didactic funny way. That same night started looking games. He noted what the most notorious had in common, what kinds of educational games chemistry existed and how it might fit a new game on synthetic organic chemistry.

The next day started to write carefully the rules and few days after he started the cards. A few months later he ended it and managed to make a first impression. Thanks to a few volunteers, friends, members of the Enabling Excellence, and especially his family (parents and siblings) managed to optimize and carry out a few upgrades. After a second printing, with a very rigorous and visual format, the game was a resounding success, guaranteed fun. Now only fulfill one step, marketing, and is already underway. We will inform you !

Clarifying some point, the idea of ChemiProject came when Ruben was studying at the University of Valencia, but only took shape thanks to the support of Enabling Excellence and NHRF, TPCI . And of course, with great effort, enthusiasm and help of friends, colleagues and family.

Ruben can now show a fun game to an eager board games public, and when players learn the chemical concepts explained in this educational game, ''how functional group or chemical reactivity works'' or just if the people can answer the questions of what an atom or what is a molecule, Ruben may finally explain its chemical projects!
